The Space Coast Unit’s kickoff networking event is coming up on Friday, October 19th at Beef O’ Brady’s at 3030 Lake Washington Road in Melbourne. It begins at 5:00 but welcome anyone who may need to arrive late or leave early— stop by with your business cards and say hello! Click here to register.

Looking for CEU opportunities? We are pleased to have Tiffanie Trudeau, LMHC, present “Therapy is Like a Box of Chocolates: Using Metaphors in Clinical Settings” on November 9th from 11:30-1:30. A special thank you to Grand Villa of Melbourne for hosting this event, and for offering a space for NASW Space Coast events each month! Many thanks to Harmony Senior Living Association as well for facilitating this connection. Event costs include lunch and are $10 for NASW members and social work students, $15 for non-members. Online registration will open soon.

Congratulations to all who received the endorsement of NASW-FL PACE! Candidates. Cheryl McDougall, Pamela Dirschka, Phil Moore, and Melissa Martin reflect the values and legislative priorities of social work and we wish them luck on November 6th.
