CHAPTER COMMITTEE ON NOMINATIONS AND LEADERSHIP IDENTIFICATION  (CCNLI)

​NASW-FL's CCNLI is responsible for overseeing our awards process as well as Chapter elections.  Currently, we're taking nominations for the Annual Social Work Awards.  Please refer to the appropriate information below.  If you have any questions about submitting an award nomination, please ​contact NASW-FL at 1-800-352-6279 or info.naswfl@socialworkers.org.


Nominations

We are  seeking nominations for open positions on the NASW-FL Board of Directors and Chapter Committee on Nominations and Leadership Identification (CCNLI).  


The nomination process is by self-submission.  Nominate yourself for a position that matches your leadership experience and skills with one of the open positions. We encourage you to apply and get involved. 

The deadline for nominations is April 16, 2020.

Open Statewide Positions:

  • First Vice President
  • BSW Student Representative
  • MSW Student Representative
  • 6 members of the Chapter Committee on Nominations
    and Leadership Identification (CCNLI)


Open UNIT Positions:

  • Big Bend Unit Chair
  • Gainesville Unit Chair
  • Lake/Sumter Unit Chair
  • Northeast Unit Chair
  • Palm Beach Unit Chair​
  • Space Coast Unit Chair
  • Treasure Coast Unit Chair
  • Volusia/Flagler Unit Chair


Your active participation in the nomination process is necessary to ensure a strong pool of candidates for leadership positions.

Your role is vital to the current CCNLI that develops the election slate.

Awards


Social Work Awards are Closed


Deadline: December 16, 2019


The National Association of Social Workers, Florida Chapter (NASW-FL) established annual Social Work Awards to honor outstanding professionals and members of the community at the local, state, and national level.  Awards are given in the following categories:

  • Social Worker of the Year (Must be a current NASW-FL member)
  • Social Work Student of the Year (Must be a current NASW-FL member and enrolled in a
    ​CSWE-accredited  social work program in FL)

  • Social Work Educator of the Year  (Must be a current NASW-FL member who is affiliated with a
    ​CSWE-accredited social work program in Florida as a faculty member, adjunct, or field instructor)

  • Public Citizen of the Year (Must not be a social worker or have a degree in social work)
  • Elected Official of the Year (Must be a current local, state or federal elected official)


Awards are considered at the local unit level, and recipients are honored at their unit’s Social Work
Month event in March.  Unit winners are then considered at the state level.
